Richard Parks joined I. Weiss in 2001 bringing with him professional experience from his work as a longtime member of IATSE local 635 and as a head carpenter at a Florida sceneshop specializing in Corporate Productions. In his tenure at Weiss, he has earned the title of Sr. Project Manager and is responsible for overseeing all of our historical renovations, and many custom automation, custom rigging and specialized curtain projects on national and international scale. In addition to contractual projects, Richard also heads the flameproofing department and can be found regionally doing such work in a theatre near you! Richard is an ETCP certified theatrical rigger, grew up in North Carolina and now resides in Astoria, Queens. He is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts.
